# Residential Proxies Info / FAQ

#### Remaining Bandwidth / Check Bandwidth

This section shows your remaining balance of residential proxy data (in GB). Once your balance reaches 0GB, your residential proxies will stop working. To add more data, you can use the **Buy Data** button to top up your balance.

#### Q: When do I need to regenerate residential proxy lists?

You only need to regenerate your proxy list if you change your password or run out of remaining bandwidth. If you run out of data and later purchase more, your existing proxy list will continue to work and does **not** need to be regenerated.

#### Q: When I generate residential proxies, are they only valid for 60 minutes? Do I have to regenerate my proxy list afterward?

No, you do **not** need to regenerate your proxy list. Your proxies will continue to work unless you change your password or run out of remaining bandwidth.

For IP Royal Residential Proxies, the **60 minutes** refers to automatic IP rotation that happens in the background. This does **not** interrupt your proxy access.

#### Q: Can I generate multiple proxy lists?

Yes, you can generate as many proxy lists as you like. All previously generated residential proxy lists will continue to work even after creating new ones.

#### Q: Why is my data burning when I’m not using the proxies?

It is not possible for data to be consumed without usage. This usually means:

* Something may still be running and using the data unknowingly, or
* The application using the proxies has a memory leak and is consuming data in the background.

To resolve this:

1. Restart all applications/bots and/or servers.
2. If the issue continues, use the **Refresh Password** button to reset your credentials.\
   \&#xNAN;*Note: You will need to generate new proxy lists after refreshing your password.*

#### Q: How large of a residential proxy list should I generate/use?

We generally recommend generating a proxy list that is at least **10x the number of total concurrent tasks/threads** you plan to run. This ensures your tasks have extra IPs available to rotate to in case of errors.


# Custom Quantity vs Subnet

#### ISP Proxy Purchase Options: Custom Quantity vs Full Subnet

Customers can purchase ISP proxies either as **individual IPs** or as a **full subnet** (up to 256 IPs).

**Custom Quantity**

Custom quantity orders allow customers to purchase any specific number of IPs (e.g., 10–200) from a subnet range. Each IP is fully private and dedicated to the buyer, though other users may own different IPs within the same range.

**Benefits:**

* Flexible and cost-efficient
* Ideal for smaller or short-term projects
* Lower commitment than purchasing a full subnet

**Full Subnet**

A full subnet provides ownership of all 256 IPs within the range. This option gives complete control and exclusivity over the entire block.

* Full control and consistency across all IPs
* Clean reputation and improved stability
* Best for enterprise-level or automated operations

Custom quantity is perfect for flexibility and lower cost, while full subnets deliver complete exclusivity and control.

# ISP Swap Faq/Terms

#### ISP Swaps / Replacements

Please see the information below regarding ISP swaps and replacements.

**Swap Eligibility (First 24 Hours)**

You may request a **one-time ISP swap** within the first 24 hours after your ISP proxy order is fulfilled. Swap requests must be submitted via **support ticket** within this timeframe to be honored.

**Mid-Cycle Swaps (After 24 Hours)**

After the 24-hour window, your ISP lease is considered **active and locked**, and swaps are **not guaranteed**. Mid-cycle swaps may be granted on a **case-by-case basis** depending on:

* ISP availability
* Usage history
* Abuse prevention history

These swaps are **subject to administrative approval** and are **not guaranteed**.

**New ISPs for Next Month**

If you want a new ISP list for your next billing cycle, please submit a support ticket **within 24 hours before or after your renewal**. Requests made outside this window may **not be accommodated**.

## Rotating residential proxy

A rotating proxy assigns a new IP on each request.

## Sticky proxy

A sticky proxy includes a session value in the credentials.

The `session-...` part indicates session persistence.

# How to Request a Replacement, Refund, or Swap for ISPs ?

This guide explains how to request an ISP replacement, refund, or swap.

## 1) Submit Proof of the Issue

* Submit a screenshot of the error.
* Make sure the screenshot includes a timestamp.
* Send the token number or proxies along with the screenshot.

## 2) Check Replacement Eligibility

* **Timeframe:** If the issue is reported within 36 hours, the customer is entitled to a replacement for non-working proxies. This also applies to swap requests.
* **Definition of non-working proxies:** Proxies that are dead or not functioning upon delivery.
* **Testing criteria:**
  * We replace proxies that fail to work on Google or another basic site.
  * For website-specific proxies (for example, Ticketmaster proxies), replacements are only provided if they do not work on the intended site.
  * For retail proxies, replacements are considered if they do not function on sites such as Nike, Amazon, Best Buy, or Walmart.
* **Limitations:**
  * We do not guarantee Shopify proxy protection or any of its ranges.
  * We cannot guarantee functionality on very niche sites, but we can provide testers so you can assess them before purchasing.
  * We do not promise any specific fraud score.

## 3) Refund Processing

* If the issue was reported within 36 hours and we have confirmed the problem, proceed with the refund.
* Refunds can only be processed after verification and confirmation of the issue.

When activated, the **Streaming Pool** option grants access to the swiftest and most reliable proxies in our selection. When enabled, your proxy string includes `_streaming-1` to show it is active.
